The Historical Museum – Pavlikeni presents the mobile interactive exhibition ‘Ancient Pottery Centre near Pavlikeni’ – a modern travelling display of one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in Northern Bulgaria.

The exhibition is the result of the project ‘Creating a Mobile Interactive Exhibition for the Ancient Pottery Centre – Pavlikeni’, funded by the Ministry of Culture under the Session for Financing Projects in the Field of Movable Cultural Heritage, Museums, and Art Galleries, Theme 2: ‘Activities for Presenting Museums and Movable Cultural Heritage in Temporary or Mobile Exhibitions’.
The project aims to promote the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Ancient Pottery Centre near Pavlikeni through innovative presentation methods using digital technologies and virtual reality.

The main highlight of the exhibition is a virtual tour of two reconstructed ancient kilns, which transports visitors into the atmosphere of ancient ceramic production and allows them to observe the process from the inside – like never before. The exhibition includes original artefacts combined with multimedia elements that bring together history, archaeology and modern visualisation.
The mobile exhibition aims to make the region’s cultural heritage accessible and understandable to a wide audience — both locally and beyond the municipality. Through it, the Historical Museum – Pavlikeni continues its mission to combine science, culture and modern technologies in the preservation and sharing of the past.
