On 22 May 2025, the Regional History Museum – Plovdiv celebrated the 50th anniversary of its exhibition ‘Book Publishing in Bulgaria in the Second half of 19th and Early 20th Century’ located in the Hristo G. Danov House Museum. The event brought together scholars, cultural figures, friends of the museum and admirers of the written word in the courtyard of the Hristo G. Danov’s House.
The evening began with the opening of a special exhibition dedicated to the anniversary, tracing the contribution of Hristo G. Danov and the early development of organized Bulgarian book publishing. In addition, the guests had the chance to make a print on the restored ‘Amerikanka’-type printing press – an exhibit restored thanks to Elast Metal – Plovdiv Ltd and with the participation of Valko Atanasov, Zdravko Zlatev and Valentin Denev.
